What’s Happening in Careers?
Year 10
Our MyPath subject selection presentations are continuing.
This week we had presentations from Mathematics and Physical & Health Education. The PowerPoints for these presentations will be emailed to students and parents so you can review them at home and discuss the options.
The event planning for our exciting MyPath week in Week 9 is in full swing. There is a great range of events to help the boys broaden their understanding of their subject selection and career options.
This is an overview of what the week will look like for them:
Year 11
This week the Year 11 group was split into university and General/VET groups. The university-bound students had a presentation from Murdoch and Notre Dame Universities on university life, courses and opportunities offered.
The General/VET group prepared for their upcoming WPL.
We wish all of our Year 11 students great success in the upcoming exams or in workplace learning.
Year 12
Our Year 12s will also be out on WPL, working on their Certificate IVs or sitting exams. We hope they are all coping well and enjoying the challenges of these weeks.
TISC
TISC opens on the 3rd June. The boys have had one presentation on the application process and how their ATAR results are determined. Following the exams there will be a second session where I will walk them through the application process. However, if they have further questions they should seek help from the Careers team.
