Grade 1 Report

Welcome to Term 2 - the Grade 1 children are excited to be back!

We have been busy reflecting on their recent school holidays through writing. We discussed our holidays as a class and the children wrote a recount about their amazing adventures. 

During Week 1 we also commemorated Anzac Day, with the students participating in a guided drawing activity inspired by the book Anzac Ted by Belinda Landsberry. Through their artwork and discussions, they learned about the significance of Anzac Day. 

These activities also link to the new History topic for Term 2, helping students build a deeper understanding of the past and its impact on the present. 

We are so proud of the creativity and the respect our learners have shown during this activity.
