Captain's Corner, Wellbeing & Environmental
We are the environmental leaders, Evie and Nyah and we wanted to let you know about a project that we have been working on.
Whenever you hand in a plastic bottle, can or juice box it raises 10 cents for the school.
We are currently setting up some new bins at school, and these bins will only be for the 10 cent project. Every time you put something in the bin, they are worth 10 cents each. But, if you crush them, they can no longer be recycled, and it loses its value.
Every few weeks, we will empty the bins and all money raised will go towards school projects based on the students' ideas.
You will find the bins in the courtyard, on the oval and possibly next to the toilet closest to the netball court.
Don’t crush your cans and bottles and there will be so much more potential for more fun things at Woodend Primary, but if you do crush them; don’t put them in 10 cent bins.
Also feel free to bring stuff from home if you like!
