WPS Community Children’s Garden

It’s Autumn in the garden. Here’s a list of some of the fun activities we’ve been up to this fortnight:

  • potato treasure hunt – always exciting!

  • weeding, including removing stray raspberry and strawberry plants that pop up outside of their beds and taking them home to plant

  • composting old tomato plants and refreshing the garden beds with new compost

  • planting winter crops of garlic, broad beans and parsnips

  • making rainbows in the shower of water as we water in our seeds

  • collecting fallen leaves and piling them on our compost bays (in the process, a few leaves may have been thrown around for fun 😉)
