SCHOOL LEADERSHIP MESSAGE

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Our School Council met on Tuesday evening and did a training module together on School Governance. Our trainer commented on how effectively our meeting ran and on the processes we have implemented for our subcommittees. I am delighted with the level of involvement and commitment from our parents, students and staff to work together for our College.
We strive to create a positive learning environment for our students. Like all complex organisations we have room for improvement, and it is valuable to receive feedback from parents and students. It is essential that the school community has trust in the way we operate the school. A reminder that if parents would like to meet with a teacher or school leader, they need to book an appointment in advance.
If people have feedback, it should be given respectfully and positively, so we can all work together to improve. This is reflected in our school values and I encourage parents to model these values in interactions with staff.
The Department of Education has produced the following poster for all school communities to reinforce this message.
