YEAR 8 BOYS AND MIXED NETBALL

Our Year 8 Boys/ Mixed netball Team travelled to Leongatha Netball courts on Thursday the 8th of May for the South Gippsland division competition. We had 4 games scheduled with the team getting off to a winning start in their first game 11-10 against Mary MacKillop College. The rain began to hit the courts and we unfortunately went down to Leongatha SC 7-14, Bass Coast SC - Wonthaggi 6-17 and in the final game against Bass Coast SC - Dudley 11 -12.

The students could not be faulted with their competitive efforts, teamwork, sportsmanship and willingness to learn throughout all games representing themselves and the college in a positive light.

Zac Fowles finished with 24 goals for the day, Josh Hill 10 goals and Kye Cecil 1 Goal. Matthew Churchill and Geoffie Lightowler played extremely well in defence, often against much taller opposition. Zarli Dixon, Archie Cronin worked hard through the center whilst Tyler Fildes provided options through the mid court.
