CONTAINER DEPOSIT SCHEME (CDS)

NEW ORANGE BINS FOR THE CDS

Korumburra Secondary College would like to thank Blackwoods in Morwell for their generous donation of ORANGE wheelie bins for our Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) collection of 10c eligible containers.

9A students are super excited to have some shiny, brand-new bins to collect and count the containers every week.

KSC has been collecting 10c containers since the CDS began to help raise funds for student-led projects within the College.

ALL drink containers from the KSC Canteen are eligible, which reduces the amount of rubbish the College sends to landfill.

Students may also bring eligible containers from home to add to our totals, and Community members can donate containers if they wish by dropping them off to the General office (look for the bright orange bin at the front door!). We are extremely grateful for the generous people who have already contributed to our fundraising up to this point. We appreciate any additional and ongoing support towards this and are extremely happy for your help! Together we can make a positive difference to our community and our environment.

What can be donated for a 10 cent refund?

Most aluminium, glass, plastic, and liquid paperboard (carton) drink containers between 150mL and 3 litres are eligible. This includes plastic soft drink bottles, glass bottles, soft drinks sold in cans, and small fruit juice cartons – anything with the 10c mark.

Help us make a change!
