ASSEMBLIES

Today we had our first Assembly with some Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 students sharing their learning. Thanks to parents/carers/visitors for attending.  The children enjoy seeing you there.  Other Assemblies this term are scheduled for:  

  • Friday 20/3 from 2.30pm - 3.00pm.  Some Prep, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 students will share their learning. 

  • Thursday 2/4 from 9.15am - 10.00am.  This is our end of term Assembly.

2027 PREP

It’s been great that we have already held tours for prospective 2027 Prep students.  Tours can be arranged by contacting the office.

 

MEET THE TEACHER CONVERSATIONS

Thanks to teachers for staying back late on Monday and Tuesday to provide time for parents/carers to meet with them.  I hope the conversations were productive as we work together to improve student’s learning and wellbeing.  

 

ASTHMA/ANAPHYLAXIS

Thanks to those parents/carers of students with Anaphylaxis/Asthma for providing us with an updated plan provided by their GP.  If you haven’t had a chance to do this yet, please do so ASAP.

 

NAPLAN (11th - 23rd March, Year 3 & 5)

All students in Year 3 and 5 will sit the tests in coming weeks.  Parents/carers have the option of withdrawing their child from the tests if they do not want their child to sit them. For more information, contact the school.

 

SCHOOL PHOTOS (3rd March)

Like every day, all students are expected to wear full school uniform.  More information will be sent to parents/carers shortly.

 

GRADE 3-6 HOUSE ATHLETICS AT LANDY FIELD (6th March)

To be held at Landy Field in Geelong, with parents welcome to attend.  More information about this event is on Compass.

 

SCHOOL COUNCIL

As advised on Wednesday via Compass, nominations to join the 2026 School Council have closed.  We received nominations from four parents/carers to fill our two-year vacancies.  Thanks to Jessica Craven, Lauren Bennett, Christiana Brown and Deanne Titler who now join council along with other parents/carers Bethany Ha, Ricki Bee, Morgan Turnock and Natalie Swain.  We also had a vacancy for a Department of Education employee, thanks to teacher Emma Graham for submitting a nomination.  Emma joins council along with other Department of Education employees Brett Greenwood, Michaela Bird and Murray Surkitt (Executive Officer).  Our new school council will have their first meeting, being the annual general meeting, on Wednesday 25th February commencing at 6pm in the principal office.

 

STAFFING UPDATE

Our PE teacher Mrs Liversidge is now on family leave.  We wish her and her family well. Replacing her is Ms Russell, on of our usual casual relief teachers and PE teacher.
