Dear Parents
Last Friday, our Year 6 children took part in the Interschool Sports Day. The children had a wonderful time meeting new children before high school and participating in a variety of sports. Our children were outstanding representatives of our school and had a brilliant day. Thank you to our staff for supporting the children on the day. Thank you to Mr Cross from Bathurst South PS who coordinated this year's event.
On Monday, we took part in our Remembrance Day Service at school. The children gathered in the McMullen Hall to remember all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to the parents and friends that came to our service. Thank you to Mrs George for her organisation and our school captains and vice captains for leading the service.
Our Infants children had a wonderful morning at the Infants Athletics Carnival, participating in a range of games and activities. Thank you to Mrs McPhee, Mrs Francis and our Infants staff for their organisation of this event.
We were super excited to welcome our first group of Kinder 2025 children to Bathurst Public School for their transition program today. We will host another group tomorrow. Our Kinder 2025 parents have also had morning tea with us, been given information about our school and toured the school site. The Kinder Transition program will run till Friday 6th December. If you have a child enrolling in Kindergarten in 2025, please contact the office at school so we can support you through the enrolment process.
Everyone is getting super excited for the Year 6 Mini Fete tomorrow. It is bound to be lots of fun. Tickets for the mini fete are available from 8.30-9.00 each day outside Mrs Abbott's room and in the Kinder quad. A reminder that all children K-6 can dress in mufti on Friday for the Mini Fete.
Next Tuesday, 19th November, from 9.30 am in the McMullen Hall, our school leader nominees for 2025 will deliver their speeches to all the children K-5. Later in the day, we will hold house meetings with children in Years 2-5 to elect house leaders for 2025. Parents and friends are welcome to come to our assembly in the morning to hear our leader nominees make their speeches. All 2025 school leaders will be announced at Presentation Day to be held on Wednesday, 11th December.
Our School Yearbook is currently at the printers. Thank you to the many parents who have already ordered their copies through the Sentral Parent Portal. The cost of the 2024 School Yearbook is $28.00. Please order and pay early to ensure you do not miss out on this wonderful keepsake.
Mrs Mitchell is working hard with the aquatic centre to finalise lesson times and groups for our Swimming Program. Notes will be sent home next week with more information for parents regarding their child's allocated lesson time and what they will be required to bring for swimming each day.
We believe student learning, wellbeing and success are best when working together. Please do not hesitate to contact the school to discuss any concerns you may have.
