Library News

Congratulations to the students who completed the 2024 Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC). This year thirteen students completed the Challenge. It was one of our highest completion rates over the past ten years. The successful candidates were Theo B, Lydia C, Isabella D, Thomas E, Mitchell G, Nicholas J, Gabrielle M, Bridget M, Janella N, Charlotte S, Nicholas S, Jacob V, and Tayla W.
If our students complete the challenge over consecutive years, they may be eventually eligible for a PRC medal. Below is a list of the different PRC awards on offer.
Apart from books, the library is purchasing new LEGO kits on a regular basis. LEGO is great for testing critical thinking skills, improving dexterity and organisational capabilities. Recently, we purchased the Double-Decker Sightseeing Bus (604407) kit. It is certainly popular with our students. Thomas E is pictured working on the project.
Finally, staff and students can borrow books to read over the holiday period. The library is constantly receiving new titles for loan. In fact, we are developing a collection of Penguin Classics that are now available for loan. We also have access to a collection of eBooks and audiobooks on the SORA app. Please look at the details below or speak to library staff about SORA.
