Principal's News

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to week 6 of Term 4.  Its difficult to imagine that there is only 5 weeks of school left for  the year!!!

There is  a lot of events to take place before the conclusion of term.

Two of those events are taking place this week. Firstly our school disco tomorrow night and secondly  our Prep welcome mass on Sunday at 5pm.

At this time of the year every school has a number of events  for their school community. Please excuse me as I will be sharing my time across the two school. There are unfortunately clashes across the two schools. I will attempt to be at every event as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Principal Appointment

Applications are now closed for the position of principal. Once I am provided with any information I will pass it on to our community.

Grandparents Day

What an amazing day we had last Friday as we celebrated Grandparents/Special persons day. There was a real buzz around the school as the different generations celebrated Mass together, (thank you Fr Wang and Fr Sang) spent time together in the classroom and visited the book fair.

It was wonderful for myself as Principal to see the church full at mass.  A huge thank you must go to the  students and grandparents who helped lead the mass.  It made it extremely personable and special.

I trust the grandparents and special persons who were in attendance, enjoyed themselves.

I know I did!

Remembrance Day

On Monday at 11am we celebrated Remembrance Day as a school. Thank you to the Yr 6s who lead the ceremony and for the students who showed enormous respect.  Our school captains also represented OLGC with pride at the Kew RSL along with leaders from many other schools.

You should be proud of your children!

Condolences

Please keep in your prayers the Boyd family, Ali Year 6, Hamish Year 4 and Tom Year 1, with the passing of their Grandfather last week. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Have a great week

Brian
