Duke of Edinburgh Program

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Expedition

As part of the Duke of Edinburgh Program, students lead their own overnight camp, navigating, dealing with challenges and working as a group to help each person succeed.

It was an exciting overnight trip with rain, hot weather, very steep hills and some (planned) unexpected route changes. The students pushed through to successfully complete and (mostly!) enjoy the trip.  Each student should be very proud of themselves: Akseli stepped up to help those with less experience, Coen led us right to the end and Sam took charge as first aid needs arose.  Maple kept us laughing throughout the trip, Thomas didn’t seem to let anything phase him and Paris took on the challenge of a pack that was bigger than her (& brought the very popular Uno Flip!). Hannah was always there helping those that needed it, and Oliver used his calm yet enthusiastic presence to help people feel comfortable. It was a privilege to watch each of these impressive students push through the challenges and help their team succeed. Well done Dukes!
