LTU Regional Pathways Program Update

Albury-Wodonga Campus

The Regional Pathways Program is a regional initiative that aims to address the disparity in higher education participation and attainment between regional and metropolitan areas. It focuses on increasing educational engagement among senior secondary school students by providing them with workshops on topics such as study skills, literacy support, wellbeing, and career pathways including university.

Vision:

Our goal is to improve educational outcomes for regional students and increase community awareness of the positive impact further education has on local development.

Preparing for Next Year in the School Holidays

Here are some tips from the Regional Pathways Program team regarding how to prepare for next year in the school holidays:

  • Utilise a study timetable to organise when you will study (it doesn't have to be for a long time - you could simply study one hour every weekday!).
  • If you are struggling to focus, try out the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of focused work with no distractions, and then a break for 5 minutes).
  • Use the VCE Study Designs as a guide for what to focus your study on (Listing of study designs).
  • Read/watch your English texts (if you know what they are) - this will help you make a start on your analysis!
  • Write down questions you have or points you get stuck on while studying so that you can remember to ask your teachers when you get back to school.
  • Remember to schedule in time for relaxation and fun (rest is also productive!).

We hope everyone has a safe and fun filled school holidays!
