It's hard to believe that the Advent Season of 2024 is already upon us. Students from Prep to Year Six have begun their study of Advent, preceded by a unit which focused on Mary. This time of waiting is truly significant. Over the four weeks of Advent, Week 1 reflects on Hope, Week 2 on Peace, Week 3 on Joy, and Week 4 on Love.
The students will explore the Birth of Jesus through the various Gospel writers, particularly Luke.
Let us journey together this Advent and Christmas Season, embracing hope, peace, joy, and love in our words and actions toward one another.
Advent
The second week of Advent reflects on Peace
Peace. Often called the “Bethlehem Candle,” the second Advent candle reminds us of Mary and Joseph's journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem before Mary gave birth to Jesus. PEACE is the theme this week. Jesus is coming, and so is his Kingdom of Peace.
