Principal's News

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Good afternoon families,

I hope you are all managing to stay cool. We are now in the count down to the end of this school year.

The prep classes had a Prayers in Pyjamas day on Tuesday. It was lovely to see so many parents/grandparents at the parish mass with their child and celebrating our faith all together. The time that was then spent in the classroom with parents / grandparents was very exciting for all the preppies. Thank you to the prep teachers for their preparation and support to have these special days. Thank you to Father Huy and Mrs Douglas for the beautiful mass.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) and P&F representatives

The School Advisory Council (SAC) and P&F representatives had a lovely night together sharing the strengths and challenges of each parent body and how they can continue to support the whole school community.

Swimming training

Swimming training starts on Wednesday 27 November at Mentone Aquatic Centre at 7 am- 8 am. All competent swimmers in year 2 - Year 5 are invited to attend. The purpose of swimming training sessions is to help us chose our swimming squad for the District swimming sports in late February 2025. The swimming sports will be in a 50m pool so the swimming training helps build up the endurance of our swimmers so they can compete over a 50m distance. It is amazing to see the growth our swimmers have by attending these sessions. we do not expect that all the swimmers will be able to swim 50m now but with training it is very achievable. These training sessions are NOT compulsory and you do not need attend all of them. In 2025 we will be having one session at Mentone and one session at Toby Haenen- Chelsea Heights per week.
