Where Adventures Begin

Myuna Ark Incursion

The Bluebirds and Rosellas are exploring the different ways that God provides for everyone.

To begin this exploration, the children have been learning about farm animals. As part of this learning, Myuna Farm came to visit the children at Kinder. Before interacting with the animals, Farmer Kathleen explained how to be gentle towards them. This was a great opportunity for the children to revisit parts of their Kinder Agreement: ‘I will use gentle hands’ and ‘I can wait my turn.’ There were many different, and some unfamiliar, farm animals but all the children were brave and respectful. After patting and getting to know the animals, the children had the opportunity to brush and feed them. It was a very exciting and fun experience for everyone involved – including the Busy Bees and the adults!

Following on from this, the K3/4 children will be investigating the connections between farm animals and the foods they produce.
