GPA Soiree by the Sea

The GPA would like to thank our community for their unwavering support for the 2023 major fundraiser, Soiree by the Sea.

To all the attendees on Saturday night, to all the community members who bid on silent and live auction items, to all the families and businesses who donated to the evening, to Mal Walden our special guest and to Justin Holod and Nicholas Hoo from our Gold Sponsor - Marshall White - all of your generous contributions, commitment and dedication to our students and our school is greatly appreciated.

We are a supportive network of families and staff contributing to the needs of our students at Galilee. This event is just one example of the calibre of this community. Please support all the businesses and families who supported us - pop into the shops, buy from their businesses, just say hello from Galilee.

The incredible amount of $31901 raised will be used to update digital technology including iPads and Chromebooks in classrooms which will enhance learning opportunities for our students.

Tutoring sessions at the Emerald Hill Library

The Emerald Hill Library runs free tutoring sessions for primary school children from grade 3 to grade 6. The sessions run from 6pm to 7.30pm on Thursday evenings during school terms.

Volunteer tutors provide one-on-one assistance with different aspects of school work, including Maths, English, Science and school projects around topics such as history, geography, social issues etc.  We currently have a number of vacant places for students who would like to attend these tutoring sessions on Thursday evenings.

The Library is located at 195 Bank Street. If you would like your child to enjoy the benefits of extra one-on-one tutoring, please contact Peter Conlon at the Library on 9209 6611 or by email peter.conlon@portphillip.vic.gov.au
