St Edward's Inter House Soccer World Cup

In keeping with our theme of supporting our magnificent Matildas and their recent World Cup success, Wednesday saw the inaugural Primary Inter House Soccer Competition which was a real highlight of Week 6 at St Eddies. Organised by our resident soccer guru Mr O'Neill, this competition saw Therry, MacKillop, Chisholm and Kennedy face off in a Year 3/4 and 5/6 competition and finish the day with the hotly contested teachers vs students game.

Big smiles and wonderful sportsmanship was on display all afternoon. Students were competing, cheering, supporting, refereeing and making the most of being out in the sun with their friends. A wonderful day had by all (and the teachers even managed a come from behind win against the Year 6 students to cap off the afternoon)!

Junior champions: Therry
Senior champions: Kennedy
Teachers team, winners are grinners!

Our Infants students also had an absolute blast on Wednesday competing in their own World Cup soccer and games afternoon organised by Miss Parker. Look out Sam Kerr and Mary Fowler, we sure have some amazing junior soccer talent at our Infants Campus.

Infants and Primary Book Week Parades

Our Book Week Parades today were the absolute highlight of our Book Week celebrations this week. There were beloved book characters and carefully constructed outfits from Kindergarten to Year 6, and all our staff and students were well and truly in the the spirit of the day.

The theme for Book Week 2023 is Read, Grow, Inspire. At St Eddies, we are passionate about all our staff and students developing a deep love of reading and sharing rich literature. We would like to thank Mrs Michell for organising the parades at both the Infants and Primary Campus.

School Survey

An annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese this term. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. Responses are confidential, and individuals can not be identified.

The surveys were launched via email on Monday, 21 August 2023 using the email addresses supplied to the school. If you do not receive an email with a link to the survey, you can access the survey here: https://www.research.net/r/StEdwardsPARENT2023

The survey will close on Wednesday, 30 August 2023.

Have a wonderful week everyone,

Keep smiling,
