2023 MATHS CHALLENGE RESULTS

Maths Challenge is a problem solving program to deliver to students in Years 7 to10. It aims to foster students’ understanding of the power of mathematics and the joy of mathematical problem solving. It also provides teachers with engaging and accessible materials to support and develop their math's teaching practice, and can help them identify and support talented students. The Maths Challenge ran over 3 – 4 weeks last Term 2, with around 1 hour of class time and around 2-3 hours of study time per week. Students were encouraged to work collaboratively together in groups of three for primary divisions, and groups of two for secondary divisions. Like all our competitions and programs, Maths Challenge contains unique problems designed each year by leading educators and academics to challenge and extend your students’ problem-solving skills.
