From the Principal

The term is quickly drawing to a close and our kids have been involved a wide ranging in and out of the classroom.

Some of the highlights over the last couple of weeks have included:

  1. Our Grade 4s having a great time on their City Camp.
  2. A massive Book Week that was filled with lots of fun and excitement. I would like to thank Kate Mowat and her helpers with running such a successful book fair. It was a huge success and we thank all our community for supporting this event.
  3. We have had a large number of students represent our school at different district and regional sporting events. Well done to our Girls Soccer who competed at the regional level. They all represented our school so well and tried their absolute best. On Wednesday we also had a large number of students compete at the District Athletics. A number of these students will now move on to represent our school at a regional level, which is an outstanding achievement.

To finish off the term, our teachers will continue to maintain normal routines and have high expectations with student learning and behaviour.

Fathers Day Stall

I would like to thank our PFC for organising our Fathers Day stall on Monday. A number of parents volunteered their time to assist with the running of this event and I appreciate them for doing this.

On behalf of the Langwarrin Park Primary School, I wish all our Dads a very happy Fathers Day on Sunday. Hopefully you all have a very special time with your family.

2024 Workforce Planning

I am well underway with the workforce plans for 2024. If you know that your child will not be attending Langwarrin Park Primary next year, can you please let the school office know at your earliest convenience. Conversely, if you have not yet enrolled your child who is starting school next year, can this also be done as well please.

School enrolments have a direct impact on staffing and to effectively build the workforce plan, our enrolment data needs to be accurate.

Sunsmart Policy

As previously communicated via Class Dojo, we are now back into a Sunsmart period. All students are required to wear a school hat when outside. A new addition to our school uniform is a bucket styled hat. If you would like to purchase one, it can be done through PSW. Please note that existing school hats can still be worn. So please make sure that your child has their school hat in their school bag each day.

I wish everyone a safe and happy weekend.

Cheers

Richard
