Student achievements

Congratulations to the following students:

Lucy Kearney, Nina Jessup and Jennifer Wong (Year 6), who have progressed through to the state final of the Prime Minister's Spelling Bee, which will take place on Friday.

The online competition sees the top 100 entrants from Tasmania ranked according to accuracy and time (with the three top ranked entrants eligible for the national final). The competition is a terrific opportunity for students to expand their vocabulary and stretch their capabilities as they tackle some very tricky words! We wish Lucy, Jennifer and Nina the very best for the upcoming round.

Rosie Arnold and Maddie Donaghy (Year 8), who have been honoured as standout players of the Southern Tasmanian Junior Football League U14 Girls A2 competition's 2023 season. Rosie was voted best and fairest and Maddie, the runner-up. Both students were presented with their awards at a medal ceremony where a Brownlow Medal style count was conducted for all athletes nominated for the 'Beakley Medal' in their respective age groups.
