School Wide Positive Behaviour Support

Welcome Back to Term 4!

The SWPBS Team are excited to welcome students and families back for another great term of learning. A new term is always a wonderful opportunity to refresh routines, set goals, and continue building a positive and supportive school community.

As part of our School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS) approach, we will be revisiting our expectations across all areas of the school. At Wonga Park Primary School our expectations are simple and consistent:

  • Be Kind – We use kind words and actions, and we listen to each other.
  • Be Safe – We look after ourselves, others, and our environment.
  • Be a Learner – We try our best, stay focused, and never give up.

During the first week back, teachers and students spend time revising the Always section of the school behaviour matrix and classroom routines. This helps ensure everyone has a clear, shared understanding of how we learn and play together at school.

Families can support this at home by talking with your child about what these expectations look like in different settings, for example, being safe on the way to school, being respectful when playing with siblings, or being a learner when tackling homework.

Together, we can make this term a positive and successful one for every student.
