Grade 5 Report

Last week our Grade 5 students had an exciting visit from the Cosmodome, a mobile planetarium that brought the wonders of space and geography to Preston Primary School!

As part of our unit ‘Our Place in Space’, students stepped into the dome to explore the solar system, discovering fascinating facts about planets and stars.

They also explored the topic ‘Factors That Shape Places’, learning about powerful natural forces such as earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, and other natural disasters. Inside the dome, the immersive experience brought these concepts to life in a fun and memorable way.

We’re really looking forward to applying our new knowledge about natural disasters as we continue learning this term!
