Dear families,
Upcoming Major Maintenance Works – Commencing Monday 24 November
We are pleased to inform our school community that significant maintenance works will commence on Monday 24 November, with the hope that they are completed just prior or after school returns in 2026. These works represent a major investment in the long-term preservation and care of our much-loved heritage buildings.
The project will include:
• Extensive roofing works on both the Red Brick and Bluestone buildings.
• Major window maintenance and painting of the Bluestone building.
• Restoration of key historical features on the Bluestone building, including the bell tower turret and concrete mould details.
During this period, both buildings will be surrounded by scaffolding and temporary fencing to allow contractors to complete the works safely and efficiently. Every effort is being made to ensure that movement in and out of these buildings remains unrestricted, while maintaining a safe school environment for students, staff, and visitors.
These important works are the culmination of seven years of advocacy and collaboration with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA). We are proud that this partnership has recognised the significance of our heritage buildings and ensured they receive the attention and care they deserve.
We appreciate your understanding and support as these essential works take place. The end result will be a beautifully maintained and preserved part of our school’s history for generations to come.

Families Relocating or Leaving in 2026
As we begin Term 4, planning for the 2026 school year is already underway. We are keen to hear from any families who know they will be relocating or leaving Williamstown Primary next year.
If your family is moving on in 2026 and you haven’t yet informed the office, please contact us as soon as possible. Having this information early helps us plan class structures and ensure a smooth transition for all students.
We appreciate your support in helping us prepare for another successful year ahead.
Lunch Order Reminder
We’ve recently noticed an increase in lunch orders that were either placed for the wrong day or not fully confirmed through the app. To avoid disappointment, please ensure that:
Unfortunately, the office has limited replacement options if an order has not been confirmed or is made in error.
Thank you for your understanding and support in helping ensure all students receive their lunch as expected.
Warm regards,
Mat Montebello
