Year Six PYP Exhibition

And that's a wrap - our Year Six cohort presented their much anticipated Exhibition yesterday!! As part of the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Programme Exhibition, students are expected to be active citizens and to take action to show understanding, to apply knowledge and skills, to reflect, and often to make a contribution to a cause or stimulate positive change.
Over the past ten weeks students have been inquiring into the central idea 'Science knowledge is used in decision making'. At yesterday's big event, student groups presented various biology, physics, chemistry, earth and space science lines of inquiry. Exhibits included marine biology, volcanoes and earth's layers, planets of the solar system, endangerment and extinction, plane aerodynamics, DNA, energy, motion, F1 and sport, to name just a few.
The gym transformed with informative stalls and creative visual art displays, and the room was abuzz as students proudly shared their learning with our community across two two-hour sessions (with a sausage sizzle break in between to re-fuel!). Groups also delivered TEDx Talks on stage throughout the day, demonstrating how to be brave, bold and connected in front of a large audience. Well done to all on your impressive presentations! It was a terrific turnout from our ENPS community, with our younger students excitedly engaged at every stall, and adults blown away by each groups' depth of scientific knowledge and willingness to promote their topic.
Congratulations to our Year Six Leaders in Action for your commitment and effort on the day, and exceeding expectations across your entire Exhibition journey - we are so proud of you all. A shout out to our Specialist and mentor teachers across all year levels for supporting groups throughout their inquiry, to cohorts, families and community members for attending, and to everyone involved in helping make Exhibition 2025 a huge success.
