At the end of Term Three, and after an extensive inquiry into artists Wassily Kandinsky and Yayoi Kusama, Year One and Two students created individual art pieces on recycled CDs. These have now come together to enhance the area just outside the Visual Arts room - covering up a former unsightly black board.

So many other amazing artworks have been created, or are in the process of being created, this term…

Foundation students have thoroughly enjoyed getting messy with clay - creating some useful items such as pinch pots and cups to store treasures in and pinch pot monsters, butterflies, animals and all sorts of creatures for enjoyment. These are currently awaiting the firing process in our kiln.

Year One and Two students are inquiring into Indigenous artworks - the symbolism embedded in these and materials and tools used to create them. They have inquired into Media Art, selecting tools to create on iPads. Students will be using clay to create their own artworks inspired by the artworks they have seen.
