Year Three

Mini-Exhibition!

During our Sharing the Planet unit of inquiry, Year Three students explored the central idea ‘Small decisions have a big impact on the environment’. They presented their learning for our mini-exhibition during session five and after school on Thursday October 16th. Students were inspired to take action by planning, designing, creating, and evaluating a packaging item with a sustainable and environmentally-friendly purpose. They also presented an explanation text on composting and recycling, a design poster and advertisement poster. 

Throughout this process, students also investigated the properties of various materials and examined the features of effective packaging prototypes. This learning journey has empowered them to make more informed choices and develop a deeper understanding of sustainability in their everyday lives.
