Inclusion Action Team

The Inclusion Action Team have been working towards setting up L’area degli Amici! We have placed all the beautiful and inspiring Kindness Rocks, painted on RUOK? Day last term by students across the school. They look awesome! The IAT have also been organising activities and sensory tools for students to engage with during lunch and recess. Not everyone wants to have a high energy break and if you prefer to play quietly and calmly during lunch and recess, L’area Degli Amici is for you! We are setting up a trolley that will have lots of activities, sensory tools and books. Some of these will include Uno, ‘Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza, Jenga’, slinky, chess, ‘Who Am I?’ and some mesmerising sensory tiles!

We are also planning to host some activities during the break for students to join in with such as bubble blowing, weaving, story times and mindfulness drawing and music. Stay tuned!

Wellbeing Notices

Welcome back to Term 4 everyone! This term, across the school for our Social Emotional Learning program, we are focusing on Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) Topics; Gender Norms and Stereotypes and Positive Gender Relations.

The RRRR resource provides an age-appropriate and research-informed approach to teaching about the ways gender norms can lead to harmful or limiting outcomes. It includes activities which focus on understanding every person’s rights to respect, to bodily autonomy and to protection from violence within their relationships with peers, families, schools and society. It teaches them about their rights to be free from discrimination and how to seek help if affected by violence at school, home, online or in the community.

Feel free to check out the resources here!
