As we begin Term 4, we excitedly look forward to our events and celebrations which include Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Year 12 Graduation, Community Masses and our End of Year Liturgy.
We also consider how we can assist and support others and this term we will be collecting non-perishable items for St Vinnie’s and the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project. Collection points will soon be available in TAs for students and families to deliver any items they wish to donate to support others in need. We thank you for your support with this.

Student Leadership 2026
The quest for our 2026 Student Leaders is almost complete! It has been wonderful to see so many aspirant leaders within our College and to experience their speeches, read their applications and be a part of the interview process. All students who have applied should be incredibly proud of their courage and commitment in applying for these roles. We look forward to sharing our Student Leadership Team for 2026 with our College community soon.
Time Capsule from the Year 2000
At the conclusion of our Feast Day Mass, we also unveiled the time capsule from the Year 2000.
All the contents have now been itemised, and we are making contact with families to reunite them with their letters. We hope we will be able to share many of them with you once the families have been notified and had access to these treasures.
We look to continuing our story and legacy by reburying the time capsule later in the year.
Sacramental Program
Our Sacramental Program for 2025 has concluded, ending with our students celebrating their Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation over the last few weeks at St Augustine’s Church Kyabram.
Congratulations to our students and families. We thank our St Augustine’s Parish and the Sacramental Team for their work and efforts with this, it has been wonderful.
Gospel: Matthew 13:31–32 - The Parable of the Mustard Seed
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Reflection: As we begin this new term, Jesus reminds us that small actions - a kind word, a moment of care for the environment, a helping hand to a friend - can grow into something much greater. The Season of Creation calls us to plant seeds of hope, care and renewal in our world. Like the mustard seed, our efforts may seem small, but when rooted in love and faith, they can grow into something life-giving for our whole community and our planet.
Loving Creator God,
You are the source of all life, beauty and wonder.
As we begin Term 4, we thank You for the gifts of learning, friendship and faith
that bring our St Augustine’s community together.
During this Season of Creation, open our hearts to see Your presence
in the world around us - in the trees that breathe Your Spirit,
in the rivers that reflect Your peace,
and in every person made in Your image.
Help us to be caretakers of Your creation,
mindful of the Earth You have entrusted to us.
May our choices in the classroom, playground, and beyond
be filled with love, gratitude, and respect for all that You have made.
Bless our teachers, students, and families as we journey through this final term.
Give us energy for our learning, kindness in our words,
and courage to act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with You.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
