Kindergarten

What a wonderful start to the year! We would like to welcome our new Kindergarten students who have settled well and are enjoying participating in all aspects of school. The first few weeks have been filled with many learning experiences where the children have had the opportunity to learn the rules, routines, practice skills and learn how to enjoy and be part of a large group.

Kindergarten are lucky to have two teachers this year. Mrs Hunt on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and Mrs Endacott on Tuesday and for Literacy for all of first term. They are also assisted by our School Learning Support Officer, Miss Chelsea.

We have already had our first excursion to the pool for the swimming carnival. A fun morning was had by students who participated in some pool games. 

Literacy lessons have included lots of learning about letters, words and sentences. In Maths, counting and number recognition has been the main focus. 

Kindergarten will participate in their Best Start Kindergarten Assessment during the first couple of weeks of Term 1 2025. The Best Start Kindergarten Assessment identifies a student's literacy and numeracy skills upon entry to Kindergarten.

Can all students please bring in a paint shirt to protect their school uniform during art activities.
