Grade 3/4 News

Swimming

The grade 3/4 students participated in swimming lessons in week 8. 

This was an invaluable lesson for students learning to swim, as being safe in the water is crucial to all Australian students. 

Students learnt swimming strokes such as freestyle, backstroke breaststroke, and swim with the supports of flotation devices to support diverse needs. 

The 3/ 4 team would like to congratulate all students on their participation and growth as swimmers. 

We encourage all students to continue to practise over the summer holidays.

Vinnies Christmas appeal

Last week St Bernard’s primary school supported St Vincent DePaul with the Vinnies Christmas appeal, by raising money by dressing up in Christmas outfits. 

Our St.Bernard's students and teachers had a fabulous day, celebrating and raising money together. 

The 3/ 4 team would like to thank you for supporting this fundraiser as this would not be possible without the support of our community.

Reminder for week 11

• Can all students please bring a big bag to school on Monday the 16th of December. These bags will be utilised to carry all student work home.
• If there are any overdue library books, please send them to school to be returned.  There will be no fine, so even if a book is two years overdue, we will welcome it back with open arms.
