Foundation News

Dear Foundation families - what a wonderful year it has been.

As we come to the end of Foundation students’ first year of school, we want to take a moment to reflect on the amazing journey our students have taken.

From those nervous first days to the confident learners they’ve become, it’s been a joy to see their growth and achievements.

This year has been filled with many highlights—learning letters and numbers, discovering the joy of reading, exploring the world through hands-on activities, and forging new friendships in the classroom and school yard.

The enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity our Foundation students bring to school every day has been truly inspiring.

Some of the most cherished moments include the special bond formed with our Year Six buddies.

From shared activities to mentoring moments, these friendships have made our youngest students feel supported and valued in the school community.

Some of our most treasured highlights from our year together include the 100 days of school, Teddy Bear Picnic, Science Dome, the Fun Run, Book Week, Athletics day to name a few.

The energy and enthusiasm that the Foundation students brought helped make it memorable for all.

At this time, as Foundation teachers, we are so proud of what our students have learnt. They have grown in maturity and independence and come so far with their learning. Watching the excitement and readiness they displayed when heading to Grade 1 for our last transition highlighted all we have achieved for the year.

To our families, thank you for your unwavering support and partnership.

Your encouragement at home, especially with home reading, has made such a positive impact on your child’s learning journey.

The time spent sharing stories, practicing sight words, and fostering a love for books has laid a strong foundation for their future success.

Together, as a team—parents, caregivers, and teachers—we’ve achieved so much this year. Thank you for being an essential part of your child’s education and for partnering with us to make this a wonderful year.

Thanks also for the time spent on last week's Christmas themed dress up and the donations for St. Vincent de Paul.
