Welcome!

A warm welcome to all members of our community from our Pastoral Leaders, House Patrons, Counsellors, and Homeroom teams. It is great to see so many smiling faces of students and relieved parents as students both begin and continue their Pastoral Care journey and story through the College.

Every year at school is a busy year that offers challenges and opportunities. I encourage each student to take on the challenges to create opportunities to flourish here at St Pius X College.

Thank you for your engagement at this week’s information evenings. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact your son’s Pastoral leader.

Peer Support for Year 5, 7 and 11

Our Peer Support program is facilitated by Mr Ticli, Mr Dawson, Mrs Fileman and Mr Carroll.

The Peer Support Program commenced on Tuesday this week to support students' transition into Year 5 and Year 7 at St Pius X. The program runs on a weekly rotation with Year 11 Peer Support Leaders mentoring a group of Year 5 or 7 students to develop the social, emotional and learning skills required for successfully negotiating their commencement learning across the school year. The program will conclude in Term 2, with a session and lunch at Beauchamp Park at the end of Week 1 Term 2.

Parent Information Evenings

Thank you to all members of our community who have supported and engaged with these opportunities for communication in support of your sons' wellbeing, learning and pastoral care journeys through the school. Our Pastoral Leaders, Pastoral Care Teams and Counsellors invest significant time and resources in supporting your sons development, and we appreciate your feedback and communication to this end. The student diary, email and CANVAS provide rich opportunities for communication, listening, goal setting, and learning. All of these are designed to be accessible to all members of our learning community.

School communication between home and school - the Sentral Parent Portal

The school uses Sentral for communications between the school and parents/carers.
