Welcome to 2025 School Year!
As we continue our journey of nurturing the growth and development of our students at Christway College, we want to take a moment to reflect on the important partnership we share with you, our valued families.
The relationship between school and home is like the care and attention given to a seed planted in good soil. In the Parable of the Sower (Matthews 13:1-23), Jesus shares how a farmer plants seeds, some falling on fertile soil where they take root and grow strong. This Parable highlights the importance of providing the right environment for growth — an environment that is full of care, love, guidance and understanding.
At Christway College, we view our partnership with you as the fertile soil in which we plant the seeds of knowledge, faith and character. Together, we provide the nourishment and support needed for your child’s academic, spiritual and personal growth. Just as the soil must be cared, so too must our collaboration be nurtured with open communication, mutual respect and a shared commitment to each child’s potential.
We understand that each child is unique and that their growth is a gradual process, much like a seed growing into a strong plant. Sometimes it requires patience, encouragement, and a steady hand to guide them along the way. As we work together to cultivate their potential, we celebrate their progress, knowing that every step forward is a reflection of the love and effort invested by both home and school.
Our theme “Transformed” is very exciting; as Romans 12:2 reminds us that education is not just about knowledge but about transformation—shaping minds and hearts to reflect Christ. We strive to equip our students with wisdom, faith, and integrity so they do not conform to worldly pressures but are renewed in their thinking, identify God’s will and strive to live with His Word and Way.
Thank you for being part of this important journey and are very excited for the year ahead. We look forward to continuing to work together to help our students grow into faithful and caring community members of our Christway Family.
Blessings
Kerrie
INFORMATION DISCUSSED AT THE PRIMARY & SECONDARY PARENT EVENING
The Importance of Cyber Safety and Awareness
In today’s digital world, our students are more connected than ever. While technology provides incredible opportunities for learning and communication, it also comes with risks. At Christway College, we are committed to equipping our students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.
Cyber safety is about protecting personal information, understanding digital footprints and making wise choices online. It involves being aware of potential dangers such as cyberbullying, scams and inappropriate content. As a College and community, we encourage open conversations about online behaviour, responsible device use, and the importance of treating others with kindness both in person and online.
We urge families to partner with us by monitoring screen time, discussing online interactions, and reinforcing the values of respect and integrity in the digital space. Together, we can help our students become responsible digital citizens who use technology wisely and safely.
