School Crossing

Please be reminded about the importance of road safety around the school at pick up and drop off times.

It has been highlighted to St Martha's that we have had a high number of reports/complaints coming through of parents/carers who are constantly breaking the driving & parking rules at and near the crossings putting their lives, the pedestrians lives and the children’s lives at risk.

Some examples are driving through the crossing when our Supervisor is STILL on the crossing, creeping up and/or stopping on the crossing, making 3 point turns in front of the crossing, speeding and more.

We are very grateful to have Sonya our School Crossing Supervisor at our school and she is there for the safety of our students.

Could we request that you take extra care around the school crossing for the safety of everyone that uses it.

And remember that you must remain at a complete stop until all pedestrians have left the crossing. This rule is not just in place for school crossings but for all pedestrian crossings.
