3/4 L

Term 1, Week 9

I cannot believe that it is the end of our first term already! And what a term it has been! We've celebrated Harmony Day, Lent and Holy Week. We've adventured away to Grade 3/4 camp, and showed off our amazing dance moves in the Kinnect to Dance program. Most importantly, we've worked together as a class to create a wonderful environment for learning, and I'm so grateful to every member of 3/4L (including the amazing Miss. Becc and Miss. Vanessa) for their hard work and positive attitudes this term.

Project Compassion

This term, we have been observing the season of Lent by raising money for Project Compassion. Today, students completed the final count of our donation box, and I am very proud to announce that we met our goal of $150, raising a total of $152.60. Thank you so much to everyone who donated throughout Lent. It has been wonderful to see the students excited by the values of generosity and charity.

Kinnect to Dance Extravaganza!

All term, our students have been dancing their little socks off in the Kinnect to Dance program, and on Tuesday we were treated to a wonderful whole school showcase of all their hard work. 3/4L performed Move Your Feet, Disco Inferno and the whole school number Rock This Party. It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved in the performance, even those students who were a little nervous when the program first began.

Holy Week Celebrations

To celebrate Holy Week, we participated in some wonderful and reverent whole school rotations. Some of the activities included making Prayers Cards to remember how Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, guided prayer, stories books and craft activities commemorating Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

Happy Easter!

I wish you all a happy and safe holiday, and I can't wait to see all of my fabulous 3/4L learners back at school next term!
