Term 1 2024

Our start to 2024 has been one with so many highlights. We packed so much into the term despite it only being nine weeks. Camp Manyung, the Sacrament of Reconciliation for Year 4, NAPLAN for Year 3s, District Athletics at Ballam Park and Kinnect to Dance were just some of the fantastic opportunities for fun and learning.

District Athletics

The students who participated last Friday at the District Athletics at Ballam Park can be commended for their effort, behaviour and attitude. For most 3/4s it was their first opportunity to represent our school at such an event. Congratulations and well done to all students who attended. We hope they are looking forward to next year already. Next term some students will also have the opportunity to go to the District Cross Country and District Field Athletics where they will compete in long jump, high jump, shot put and discus. 

Kinnect to Dance

Each Friday during Term 1 we have been working with Kyle from Kinnect to Dance to learn a variety of different dances. The children have loved every minute of their weekly sessions. It has so pleasing to see the students enthusiasm and excitement to get moving and grooving. All of our hard work culiminated with our Kinnect to Dance showcase on Tuesday. 

Whole School Easter Celebration

On Wednesday we celebrated Holy Week as a whole school with a variety of prayerful experiences that highlighted the days of Holy Week; Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. It was a lovely way to commemorate the upcoming Easter season.

Fr Chinua visits the Year 4s

Prior to some of our Year 4 students celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Fr Chinua came to speak to all the Year 4s about Baptism and Reconciliation.
