Student Leaders Report
This week we would like to do a shout out to Paula, Kismet’s crossing supervisor.
Paula has worked as a road crossing supervisor for 15 years and has been recognised by her company for all her hard work, she has worked with us at Kismet for over 13 years greeting families and students morning and afternoon so we thought it would be fun to find out a bit more about her.
First things first! What football team do you support? North Melbourne
What do you like about being a crossing supervisor? I like seeing all the kids friendly, smiling faces and making them laugh!
How do you remember everyone’s names? I have a little notebook, and I write a distinctive description next to the persons name so that the next time they come up to me, I know who they are! I also remember things like mum drives a red car, or dad has the silver ute etc
One of your best things about the kids at Kismet? Seeing all the students go from Prep to Grade 6 and also seeing families with multiple kids going through from Prep to Grade 6
What do you like about Kismet Kids? They are very friendly and chatty, they are always happy to tell me what they’ve done over the weekend.
How early do you have to wake up for work? 7:15am
Best and worst things about being a crossing supervisor? The worst – rainy days. The best thing is I just love my job!
