Dear Parents,

The Bob Mann Basketball Academy is pleased to remind you that we are once again resuming our FREE training sessions at Westall Primary School from this week.

For the entirety of Term One, the BMBA will be providing FREE after-school training for any Westall PS students interested in trying out the game and potentially joining teams and competitions from Term Two if not before.

This is the last opportunity to take advantage of our FREE sessions as from Term Two a fee will be attached for each term's training sessions. Get registered today.

For more information, sessions times and links to register CLICK HERE

BMBA Junior competitions to commence in Term Two.

The purpose of these FREE after-school training sessions is to build interest and to form teams for Junior Boys and Girls competitions set to commence at the start of Term Two also at Westall Primary School in their fantastic indoor gym.

Why not look to to form those teams from your school. The BMBA will provide all the coaches, referees and training opportunities and will also arrange for the order and delivery of uniforms. If your school forms teams then we will look after the rest.

For more information on these competitions CLICK HERE.

All of this represents fantastic opportunities for your son/daughter to learn new basketball skills and then to join teams and play competitions and even represent your Westall PS in those competitions. Why not get registered today

STOPIT service

STOPIT is a new Victoria Police text notification service enabling commuters, including school students, to report any form of inappropriate behaviour that makes them feel uncomfortable, frightened or threatened on the public transport network.

How STOPIT works

The STOPIT service enables commuters to use their mobile phone to promptly, easily and discreetly report inappropriate behaviours.

To use the service, commuters simply text ‘STOPIT’ to 0499 455 455. This triggers an automated response that includes a link to where the commuter can provide more details about what’s just happened.

When people report these types of inappropriate behaviours, police can investigate and identify offenders to improve safety on public transport for everyone.

Parents and carers are encouraged to consider discussing the new service with students who travel on public transport. Students who use mobile phones outside of school hours are encouraged to save the STOPIT number in their mobile phone.

Please note, STOPIT is for reporting non-urgent incidents on public transport. Always phone 000 in an emergency.

For more information, refer to sexual and anti-social behaviour on public transport on the Victoria Police website.
