Student Services: Careers

Term 3 is well and truly in full swing!
YEAR 12 STUDENTS
Presentations to students and parents have been completed and slides/information can be accessed via Teams (students) and Compass (parents). Our Year 12 students are busy researching and preparing their plans for transition from secondary school. It is an important time for students to be attending Connect sessions and working through the processes.
A reminder that students should have completed all elements of course applications and equity by the end of Term 3 (September 18). It’s a very busy term for counselling appointments so students are encouraged to book early.
YEAR 9 CAREERS WORKSHOP
On August 5th we welcomed Tyson from Arrive and Thrive to run a one hour workshop with all Year 9 students on ‘Applying for Work’. Students explored many ways to apply for casual work, how to create a pitch and develop a resume that captures their skills from experiences. It was great to see so many students actively participating and developing confidence to apply for their first job.
YEAR 9 MORRISBY PROGRAM – PARENT REMINDER
Please Consent on Compass for this event before 21 August 2026. Students without consent will be unable to participate in the Morrisby careers program.
BOOKING APPOINTMENTS
A reminder that students can book a Careers Meeting through the Careers channel in their Year Level team. This will take them to the following link: http://calendly.com/burgess-booma/
