Year 12 Formal

On Thursday the 6th of August, the Year 12 cohort and their teachers gathered in their finest dresses and dress shirts for the formal. This year's formal was held, like every other, at the San Remo Ballroom, whose staff provided a scrumptious three course meal and worked hard to ensure that the night was a success. Entertainment was provided by a DJ, who presided over a packed dance floor, with a special appearance made by student rock'n'roll band Jiminy's Crickets after dinner. We would like to thank the YLPLs, Ms Hutson and Ms Quinn; the head of Senior School, Mr Sullivan; and the members of the Formal Committee for putting in so much effort to make it a night to remember.

We want to commend the class of 2026 on organising and participating in such a great night last Thursday as they celebrated their Formal – one of the first events on a long list of opportunities they have to commemorate their final year at NHS. Months of outfit, table and set list planning all came together and it was great for staff to see the students not only bring their style but also their maturity to the evening.
A special mention to Max, Belle, Charlie and Patrick of Jiminy's Crickets for entertaining us (including an unplanned encore) and Elijah and Felix for lending their product design skills to creating a NHS26 sign that will be enjoyed for years to come.
Awards celebrated friendship duos, predicted future career paths and recognised the special skills of our cohort. Now we look forward to students finishing up their studies, taking advantage of practice exam opportunities and continuing to celebrate their final days as NHS students.
