Yolux and Northcote High School
Riana Moussi and Yolux in Northcote have worked together to invite our school to a weekly "Northcote High Happy Hour". Every Tuesday from 3.15pm to 4:30pm, students who present their school ID would receive 20% off their frozen yogurt purchase.
Yolux is a local business, who are keen to support students by providing an affordable place to catch up with friends after school and can be seen as a simple and enjoyable community initiative.
This offer is available from 13 July and 18 September 2026.

International Chemistry & Art Competition
This Year's Theme: Chemistry Powering Our Planet
From clean energy and sustainability to medicine, materials, groundbreaking chemists, and the technologies of tomorrow — this theme is an invitation to explore just how much chemistry shapes the world around us. We can't wait to see how students bring it to life through their art.
The winning group will bring home a $500 prize for their school, to put toward resources and opportunities that benefit participating students.
Every entry will be proudly displayed in our virtual art gallery at www.raci.org.au/icaac.

Aquatics and Leisure Strategic Plan
Active Merri-bek and Merri-bek City Council are developing a new four-year Aquatics and Leisure Strategic Plan, and we'd love to hear from as many members of our community as possible.
The Strategic Plan will help shape the future programs and services offered across our aquatic and leisure centres in Brunswick, Coburg, Fawkner, Oak Park and Pascoe Vale, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of our diverse community. Community feedback will directly inform the development of the plan and help guide future improvements to programs and service delivery.
Every piece of feedback will help ensure our centres continue to provide programs and services that reflect the needs of our community.
The consultation can be accessed here:

Darebin Council - Disability Action Plan
Darebin City Council is developing its Disability Action Plan (DAP) 2027–2030 and are inviting the community to contribute to the consultation.
The Disability Action Plan will provide a vision and framework for an accessible and inclusive Darebin.
Darebin would like to find out about the experiences and needs of people with disability in the area, and ideas for how they can make Darebin more inclusive and accessible.
Community consultation is open and closes on 30 August 2026.
