Back to the 80s!

Northcote High School’s 2026 Production!

At the start of the year, I asked our students what they knew about the 80s. Their answers included big hair, colourful make up, teen movies and renowned music. “Back to the 80s” has allowed our students to research, chat to their families and explore this wonderful era of pop culture.

In addition to the multitude of skills learnt through being part of a team, NHS Productions have always been about inclusion and student voice. 2026 brings a new team of outstanding student leaders. These include Nell, who has once again excelled in her role as assistant to the directors and Saskia, who leads our backstage crew in her role as stage manager. Congratulations, also to our year 12s on their final year of Production at NHS.

It takes a community to create a high school musical. A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to “Back to the 80s”. John Scott and our maintenance team have again been invaluable, as have multitudes of other members from a range of facets of our school.

Thanks a million, to everyone who has contributed to the Northcote High School 2026 Production and to you, our audience, for joining us and supporting our Production team as we laugh, sing and dance through the 80s.
