Indigenous Literacy Day 

Our Year 3-6 Murra Yarra students recently took part in Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD) on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, a national event celebrating First Nations peoples’ stories, cultures, and languages. This year’s theme, "Country Is Our Teacher," inspired students to connect with Indigenous heritage. 

Students were invited by students from the Goulburn High School Deadly Team who hosted a cultural activities and Livestream event, giving students the chance to learn more about First Nations cultures and languages. 

We thank the students of the Goulburn High School Deadly Team for leading this collaborative opportunity for our students.
