Principal's Message
Dear Families,
It has been a busy and rewarding term here at our school, with many wonderful opportunities for our students and families to engage and grow.
Our Years 3-6 students from the Murra Yarra group participated in the Indigenous Literacy Foundation Livestream, hosted by the Goulburn High School Deadly Team. It was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and learn more about Indigenous culture and literacy.
Thank you to all the families who joined us for our Book Week Parade. The creativity and spirit shown in the fabulous costumes were inspiring. We also appreciate everyone who purchased from the P&C Cake Stall—it was a sweet success!
Our Father’s Day Breakfast and Father’s Day Stall, kindly hosted by the P&C, were warmly received and helped to celebrate an important day in our community.
Congratulations to Alice, who proudly represented our school at the Regional Debating Trial—we are very proud of her efforts and the example she sets.
Congratulations also to Mia, who will be competing in the shot put and discus events at the SCSSA Regional Athletics Carnival on Friday, 18 September. Good luck, Mia—we’re all cheering for you!
Our Year 6 students have been participating in The Smith Family’s Passport for Success program to support their readiness for high school. Students have also had valuable experiences attending focus days at both local high schools.
Some of our Stage 2 and 3 students were nominated and are participating in the Crookwell High School Academy of STEM Excellence Lego Challenge, which concludes this Friday. We look forward to celebrating their achievements soon.
Additionally, our Stage 3 students have been engaging in after-school Social Emotional Learning sessions, developing important skills for their wellbeing and success.
There are plenty of exciting learning, events and activities being planned for Term 4, please remember to check that your notifications for Facebook are on and that you are providing a Yes or No response to permission notes.
Important Reminders
Arrival Time: School supervision begins at 8:40am. For safety reasons, students should not arrive prior to this time.
If parents or carers need to enter the school grounds, we ask that you please wait until the office opens at 8:45am. Once open, all visitors are required to sign in at the office before proceeding further, in accordance with our safety and security procedures. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe environment for our students and staff.
School Hats: As the weather warms and the sun shines brighter, please remember that school hats must be worn at break times in Term 4. Students without a school hat will be directed to a covered structure or indoor activity for the duration of the break. School hats can be purchased from the school office each day from 8:45am.
