What is happening in the Art room:

Foundation:  Last term our focus was learning about the design element of colour. Students explored paint and other media to learn colour theory and mix colours. This term our focus will be the design element ‘Shape’.

Year 1- 2: We ended last term with our papier mache’ Easter rabbits and gorgeous egg designs, learning to draw a variety of line and patterns.

Year 3-4:  This term we will be looking at the art of Australian Indigenous culture, from past to present, in a variety of forms. To start our term students have traced the map of Australia and used charcoal to creatively design a face of a person, animal or imaginative creature. 

Year 5:  Student's finished their unit on textiles creating these gorgeous cushions. They learnt two techniques: tie dye and batik in the process. 

Wanted: Cardboard especially large pieces or boxes. Just drop off to the Art room please.
