Year 4 Highlight

The Year 4s have been learning about the significance of the sacrament of Communion. We have a group of students who will be participating in the Sacrament of the First Holy Communion in May. In preparation for this special event, students have been focusing on the ‘Symbols of the Eucharist’, and ‘Signs of the Eucharist’ such as the laying of the hands and the ‘Rituals of Eucharist’. The students demonstrated the disposition of creativity by working in groups to show their understanding. The Year 4s also made connections to the Bible scripture ‘’Jesus and the Miraculous Catch of Fish’ and discussed the message behind the story and how the story represents the Eucharist.
