Our Early Years classes had heaps of fun at after school activities last Thursday. Classes caught the bus to either Star Bowl or Rebound, before returning to school for dinner prior to home time.
Students enjoyed something different with their classmates and teachers. There were lots of tired little faces heading home after a big day!
**Please note the final day of school for students is the 18th of December**
We have 2 handover/preparation days for staff on the 19th & 20th of December - these are student free days.
Following the summer holidays, school returns in 2024 on the 30th January.
Today we farewell Mitchell Guy-Smith as he heads off on a new career adventure.
A sad loss for the Verney Road School community, but we wish Mitch nothing but the best and know he will pop in for visits.
Over the last 5 years Mitch has had such a positive impact on both staff and students within our school community, building incredible bonds and helping students reach their full potential.
Somehow, it's now November and Christmas is just around the corner!
We would like to remind the VRS community of our Annual Christmas Raffle and put a call out for prize donations please.
Donations can be anything - sweet treats, craft activities, candles, toys, Christmas themed goodies etc.
We ask that prizes please be dropped into the school front office unwrapped.
Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated!
Last term, we hosted our annual School Fun Run.
A big thank you to all families who contributed to raising money.
With the totals now tallied up and all prizes collected, Scarlett R emerged as our top fundraiser throughout the entire school!
The Student Representative Council (SRC) will discuss at the next meeting which school equipment these funds should be allocated to for the benefit of all students.
Enjoy your weekend 😄
