EVPS Community Hub
Hello everyone!
As I mentioned in the previous newsletter, Term 4 is going to be busy……and it's exactly that and we are only in Week 3!
CERAMICS
Our first Ceramics class held at Edgars Creek Secondary College last Friday was a great morning with new friends to the Hub. Welcome to those new community families. It is/was lovely to meet you.
Andi the art teacher was so generous with her time. Her explanation of how to construct a piece of clay into a sculpture and how different ceramic pieces all come together was very informative. We commenced making our own spoons and bowls learning how to smooth out the clay and work with hand pressures to mold our piece into shape. See photos below.
If you would like to join us, the next session is on Friday 27th October 2023 commencing 9.30am at Edgards Creek Secondary College.
You will need to have a Working with Children Check (WWCC), to enter the school grounds, so please ensure you have one (Volunteer Card is acceptable) and register your interest to come along to the ceramics classes on our website so we know to expect you.
FETE
Thank you to those families who have reached out wanting to hold a stall at the Fete. I am in the process of contacting families who have registered and slowly getting through the list. I will be in touch soon.
SHOWBAGS
Exciting news, we will be having showbags at the FETE!!
Showbags will be on a prepaid system. Please look out for the Compass notification to order your showbag. You will be able to collect them on the day of the FETE as there will be a setup for collection.
