Principal's Views

From Mandy O'Mara

Dear Parents, Carers and students,

It’s hard to believe that next week we will be commencing week 4 of term 4.

Time is certainly moving quickly.

I would like to take this opportunity, in light of recent events in the Middle East to address the topic of how we can collectively keep our children safe from the potentially distressing content in the media.

The news can be an invaluable source of information, allowing us to understand the world and its complexities. However, we must also acknowledge that the images and reports from areas of conflict can be distressing, particularly for young and impressionable minds. As such, it's essential to balance staying informed with protecting our children's emotional well-being.

Please continue to monitor the media your children consume, ensuring that they are exposed to age-appropriate content. Many news outlets offer kid-friendly versions of their stories, which present information in a more digestible and less graphic way.

Our school well-being team are available to assist you in addressing any concerns your child may have regarding current events. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you require guidance or support.

We are thrilled to announce that our swimming program has commenced, and our students are already having a good time in the pool! The instructors have been doing an excellent job, and we're looking forward to seeing our students' swimming skills improve over the course of the program.

New Play Space Progress.

The construction of our new play space is right on track and set to be finished by next week. We can't wait to unveil this fantastic area for our students to enjoy. It will provide a safe and enjoyable space for them to play and be active.

The Bike Shed has been completed and landscaping is underway.

Celebrating Kinder Staff and Students A big round of applause to our dedicated kinder staff and talented students for putting together an amazing art show. Their creativity and hard work have resulted in a display of remarkable artistic talent that we can all be proud of.
